Sam Hurrie performs every Saturday at 4:30 PM at the Balfour Beach Inn
The Kootenay Blues Society has had a big first year, a lot of fun and great success with the shows presented: The KBS Fundraiser (featuring local blues bands: Flaming Aardvark Trio, White Lightning Blues Band, Jon Burden and Friends, Baker Street Blues with Judy Brown); Sonny Rhodes Band (three shows); Sue Foley (with guests Baker Street Blues); Alabama Mike and Country Pete with Riverside Blues Band (5 shows); JW-Jones (with guests Holly Hyatt Band). And our membership keeps growing!
We'd like to thank all those who came out and supported blues music in the Kootenay's and made these events the huge successes that they were. You all have enabled us to keep bringing you high quality blues from all over North America and we have some exceptional shows planned for 2019.
Our next presentation: Blues, Brews and BBQ on Mar. 2/19. With Mystery Train and Flaming Aardvark Quartet. Tickets are available at Finley's, Kootenay Co-op Radio and Otter Books in Nelson. Mystery Train will also Play the Balfour Beach Inn on Mar 1/19 at 6 PM. Sam Hurrie will be opening.
